Considering the size of some of the Bingo payouts at Ute Mountain Casino, you might assume that it’s a tough game to play. Fear not! If you’re unsure of how to play Bingo at a casino, this is for you.
There are a lot of things to love about Bingo. One of our favorite elements of the game is that anyone can play—yes, anyone. But other fun aspects of Bingo are that it’s inclusive and that there isn’t too much strategy involved. So if you’re feeling lucky, what are you waiting for?! Let’s get started!
Bingo Basics
When you arrive for Bingo, you’ll order as many Bingo sheets as you want to play. Or, if you prefer to play electronically, you’ll receive a PHD machine that has as many Bingo sheets as you’ve loaded onto it. Most people increase their odds of winning by purchasing more than one sheet. If you’re new to the game, it might be easier to play just a couple at first. Just be sure to keep your sheets straight!
These sheets list 25 randomly generated numbers that range from 1 to 100. The caller will announce randomized numbers one by one. Simply mark the number on your sheet with your dauber! (That’s that jumbo-sized marker, which you can purchase if you left yours at home.) If you’re playing on a PHD machine, the device will search your sheets for the number that has been called. Easy, right?
In classic Bingo, the first participant to cross out a line of 5 numbers horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins a part of the prize—or, depending on the game, the whole prize! Depending on the Bingo variation, you might be looking to complete your sheet with a random pattern of numbers. This may be creating an “X” on the sheet or marking off the four corners of the sheet. The biggest payout usually comes when you’ve been lucky enough to cross off each number on your sheet.
You might want to do some vocal warm-ups before you head out for your Bingo night! In our 400-seat Bingo hall, you’ll need to call out “Bingo!” as soon as you have it. If you and another player reach Bingo at the same time, the prize is split evenly.
What Are The Odds That I’ll Win Bingo?
Great question! The likelihood of you winning depends on a number of factors, like what the rules of that specific game are and how many people are playing with you. Weeknights are usually a little less crowded. By playing with fewer people, you improve your likelihood of a win. Paying close attention to the caller will also improve your odds, as it means that you’ll be less likely to miss something important.
The more sheets you play, the more your odds of winning increase. But don’t bite off more than you can chew! While you’re still learning how to play Bingo at a casino, you have to learn how to scan your sheets. If you’re rushing because you bought too many, you might miss something!
Of course, we hope you win. But even if you don’t, we guarantee you’ll have a great time playing!
Bingo Etiquette
Every Bingo hall is different, so rules and etiquette may vary a little based on where you’re playing. Many places have brochures or postings that list their house rules. Do a quick skim and make sure you don’t ruffle any feathers!
Just in case, here’s a list of some good things to keep in mind when you’re playing Bingo. As long as you remember these points, the rest is simple as can be! When you play Bingo, be sure to…
- Arrive early so that you can get a great seat—it’s first come, first serve!
- Bring a lucky charm, if you have one! It might be a rabbit’s foot, a four-leaf clover, or something else. We don’t judge!
- Keep the noise level down so everyone can hear the numbers being called. It’s also good practice to read the room. Avoid using foul language or being overly boisterous.
- Other players may find it distracting if you repeat the number you’re searching for while you’re searching for it. If this helps you, try to keep it under your breath, if possible.
- Now for the part that doesn’t have to be quiet! Yell “Bingo!” as soon as you have it—if you don’t do so before the next number is called, your ticket is no longer valid.
- Most importantly, relax and have fun! Bingo is at its best when everyone is enjoying themselves.
If you’re new to Bingo, we hope that we’ll see you at one of our Bingo events soon! With this guide, you’ve already got everything you need to be a pro at the Bingo table. Let’s win some money!
